Our Mission
Updating What Makes Companies Interesting.
Technology that isn’t getting through. Ideas that never get off the ground. Workplaces stuck in place.
Sometimes, all it takes is one change to make a company more interesting.
CG, video, web, games, the metaverse, and AI. With expertise in both creativity and technology, we continue to transform what makes companies interesting—from Gunma to businesses across Japan.
Our Vision
Creating a Place Where Imagination Becomes Reality.
A LEGO stop-motion film at age 11.
A science fiction novel written at 15.
Twenty years later, that imagination came to life as a fully CG-animated film.
Because we have always been serious about turning our own ideas into reality, we know how to respond when a client says, “What if we could do this?”
As a “Digital World True Creator,” we continue to expand the boundaries of what we can create, year after year.
Our Core Values
-
1. Create First.
When discussion alone can’t provide the answer, we build a prototype.
Whenever possible, we bring something you can actually see and experience—even at the proposal stage. -
2. “Impossible” Just Means We Haven’t Tried It Yet.
Our journey with Blender began with just three months of self-teaching.
The more unprecedented the challenge, the more eager we are to take it on. -
3. We Only Recommend What We Actually Use.
We don’t recommend technologies we haven’t put to work ourselves.
The time we have saved and the efficiencies we have achieved in our own production workflow are the proof behind every solution we propose. -
4. Turning Individual Passion into Something Greater—Together.
We take the bold ideas and passion of individuals and, as a team, shape them into something that truly reaches people.
That is what being a small, highly skilled team means to us.
Message from the CEO
My name is Genta Ishikawa, CEO of Gen’s Inc.
I started working right after junior high school. I worked in scaffolding, manufacturing, welding, and eventually IT. My path was far from straightforward, but there was one thing I never let go of: a science fiction novel I had been writing in notebooks since I was 15.
My journey into CG grew naturally from that passion. I taught myself Blender intensively for three months, and from there, built what would become one of the core businesses of our company. Today, more than 20 years after I first began writing that story, I am bringing it to life as a fully CG-animated film, DAWN STORY. I am creating approximately 80% of the film myself.
Why does the CEO still create things himself?
Because I believe that if you can’t create, you can’t truly advise someone who wants to create.
Whenever a new technology emerges, we start by putting it to work in our own production environment. AI was no exception. We integrated it into our workflows, learned through trial and error, and discovered which processes could be streamlined—and which should never be compromised.
That hands-on experience has now grown into the AI training and advisory services we provide to other companies, helping them improve the way they work. What we offer isn’t knowledge taken from a catalog or textbook. We share the methods we actually use and refine every day in our own business.
Today, Gen’s is both a company that creates and a company that teaches others how to create.
Everyone, at some point, has probably thought, “I want to make something.”
Our job is to use technology to turn that idea into reality.
Let’s create a future together that makes us think, “Now, this is interesting.”
